In my opinion their first work (2004) was till today the best although the level has been kept up very well. The single "Mr Brightside" is THE song and goes on all radios at least once a week guaranteed.
The album is not only about Mr Brightside as it contains other great songs my personal best examples are "Somebody Told Me" highly motivational "All This Things I Have Done" and the last song on the CD, "Glamorous Indie Rock and Roll". This album lays a path for great works that are must hears and are stuck on my Ipod since I bought it. This album had hard competition of Maroon 5´s Songs About Jane and Kanye West´s College Dropout. This album is recommended by Windmillmusic Blog.
Sam´s Town ★★★★
Again Click the image for download linkThis CD is not as good as the previous one which is a masterpiece nevertheless it still contains great songs and is worth listening. The best song is "When You Were Young" , one of my all time favourite songs in my pinion along "Mr Brightside" their best work.
The album was released in 2006. The album is very underrated partly because it is eclipsed by the other masterpieces but it still contains great songs like "Read My Mind" and "Bling". This album won a BRIT award in 2006.

After the compilation "Sawdust" the band released their third studio album, it was 2008 and the music industry was buzzing with the new wave of music including Guetta´s "One Love" and The Black Eyed Peas´s Masterpiece "The E.N.D." on 2008 saw the rise of "TOP" artists today like Lady Gaga, Pitbull or Katy Perry. Anyway this album was still loved by the wide public because of another branch of the new wave, the "alternative" branch it featured bands like Coldplay that released "Viva la Vida" or a just discovered Jason Mraz with " I´m Yours". This new music went away from the past and completely changed. In a way this album is different from the previous ones as it was more electronic but still not loosing the "Killers" touch that amazed the fans and thanks to radiogenic song "Human" lots of people discovered their old songs and became fans.

The last album in the article so far Battle Born was released this year (2012) and after a long wait the Killers still today have not lost their touch. After the Day & Age tour was cut short and the band decided to take a break, this album was gold for the fans that were thirsty for new material. The album doesn´t disappoint. The album has the single, "Runaways" as the top song but also contains good songs such as "Flesh and Bone" and "Miss Atomic Bomb". Time will say how the album goes with prizes but it
well deserves some.
